Privacy statement

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. As far as on our sides personal data (for example name, address or E-Mail addresses) are raised, this takes place, as far as possible, always on a voluntary basis. These data will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.

We also use your data to send you advertising material by post to your address twice a year.

Please note that data transmission over the Internet (for example, when communicating by e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.

Privacy statement for the use of Facebook-Plugins (Like-Button)

On our pages plugins of the social network Facebook, provider Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, are integrated. When you visit our pages, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. Privacy statement for the use of Instagram

Functions of the service Instagram are integrated on our sides. These features are provided by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, United States. If you are logged in to your Instagram user account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit of our pages with your user account. We point out that we as the provider of the pages do not receive any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and their use by Instagram.

Privacy statement for the use of Twitter

Functions of the Twitter service are integrated on our sites. These features are available through Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the "Re-Tweet" feature, the web pages you visit will be linked to your Twitter account and shared with other users. This data is also transmitted to Twitter. Web analysis using Matomo (formerly Piwik)

Scope of the processing of personal data:

We use the software ‘Matomo’ (www.matomo.org) on this website, a service provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand. The software places a cookie (a text file) on your computer with which your browser can be recognised. If subpages of our website are accessed, the following data is stored:

 

  • the user's IP address, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymised)
  • the subpage accessed and the time of access
  • the page from which the user came to our website (referrer)
  • which browser, with which plugins, which operating system and which screen resolution is used
  • the time spent on the website
  • the pages that are accessed from the accessed subpage

The data collected with Matomo is stored on our own servers. It is not passed on to third parties.

 

Legal basis

The legal basis on which we process personal data using Matomo is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

 

Purpose of data processing

We need the data to analyse the surfing behaviour of users and to obtain information about the use of the individual components of the website. This enables us to constantly optimise the website and its user-friendliness. Our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR lies in these purposes. By anonymising the IP address, we take into account the user's interest in the protection of personal data. The data is never used to personally identify the user of the website and is not merged with other data.

 

Duration of storage: 

The data is deleted when it is no longer required for our purposes.

 

Possibility of objection

You can object to the recording of data in the manner described above in three different ways:

  1. You can completely prevent the storage of cookies in your browser. However, this means that you may no longer be able to use some functions of our website that require identification (shopping basket, orders, personal settings, etc.)
  2. You can activate the ‘Do-not-track’ setting in your browser. Our Matomo system is configured to respect this setting.

Our website uses Google Ads, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to integrate adverts and measure the success of advertising campaigns (conversion tracking). The processing of your data by Google Ads is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, which you give via our cookie banner. You can revoke your consent at any time by adjusting the cookie settings on our website.

4. data transfer
Google transfers and processes data in third countries, in particular in the USA. The transfer takes place on the basis of standard contractual clauses to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

5. storage duration
The cookies that are set by Google Ads have different durations. Some cookies are session cookies and are deleted after you close your browser, others have longer storage periods (e.g. up to 13 months). The exact storage periods for the most important Google Ads cookies are

  • ANID: 13 months
  • NID: 6 months
  • 1P_JAR: 1 month

As part of this event, photographs will be taken by the visitors of the event for the purpose of documentation and promotional purposes.
