Creative power from the region, great artistic expertise and a lot of interaction with the Upper Austrian population - the Brucknerhaus Linz, together with local artists and the cooperation partners University for Artistic and Industrial Design Linz and Ars Electronica, creates something unique even in extraordinary times: a declaration of love to the city Linz, because Linz itself is the star of the Klangwolke 2020!
Is Corona over yet? Nobody knows. The health of the audience is our top priority in this situation, therefore a Klangwolke (sound cloud) in its usual format with more than 100,000 people watching the event in the Donaupark and a big final firework is not possible this year. Nevertheless, the LIVA resolutely accepts the challenge of creating a cloud of sound that can also be realized under the current circumstances and creatively deal with the unfamiliar conditions.
Peter Androsch, Sam Auinger, Wolfgang "Fadi" Dorninger and Gitti Vasicek - entrusted with the "situation-compatible" conception and staging by the Klangwolken organizer LIVA - look at such an "alternative" Klangwolke as a great opportunity. The chance to return to the roots of the Klangwolke and invite the residents of Linz to hear their city and their living space anew, because: Linz is the star of the Klangwolke 2020!
The Linz Klangwolke 2020 is already starting now, with and on soundinglinz.at!
